The City asks that citizens and visitors only come to City Hall on an as-needed basis and recommends wearing a face covering or a mask upon entering the building. Citizens and Visitors will need to adhere to the safe 6-foot distance marks in front of City Hall or wait in their vehicle until access is permitted.
The City would like to continue to encourage citizens and visitors to utilize online/telephone bill payments, building department payments, and golf cart plate purchases.
We would like to thank you for your patience and assistance in keeping our citizens, visitors, and staff safe during these trying times.

In response to COVID-19, at the recommendation of American Library Association and Texas Library Association, Ellis Memorial Library is CLOSED until further notice.
There are still many services available to Ellis Memorial Library patrons. Visit the library catalog at https://ellismemorial.biblionix.com to access our digital collection. Library patrons may check out digital books and audiobooks on OverDrive through the online catalog on a desktop or directly from the Libby app. If you are interested in only accessing content for children visit https://southtexas.overdrive.com/southtexas-ellis/kids.
With your library card you may also access TexShare through the online catalog. TexShare databases includes thousands of full-text magazines and newspapers, WorldCat (35 million library records), Science and Literature databases, on-line encyclopedias, etc. TexShare also includes Hobbies and Crafts Reference Center, Heritage Quest Online, and LearningExpress Library.

The Parks, Nature Preserve, and Beach have reopened.
With safety of staff and visitors as our top priority, Parks & Rec has reopened the Community Pool while complying with CDC, local, state & federal guidance.
- Attendees are asked to come “swim ready” to not use changing rooms or inside showers. Outside showers are available.
- Pool has resumed its “before COVID-19” fee schedule. Passes valid before pandemic now will be honored.
- Our parks & playgrounds have reopened. Park-goers are “highly encouraged” to wear face coverings in public.
While practicing social distancing as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Port Aransas Parks & Recreation has resumed some public programs with restrictions.

The Parks, Nature Preserve, and Beach have reopened.
With safety of staff and visitors as our top priority, Parks & Rec has reopened the Community Pool while complying with CDC, local, state & federal guidance.
At this time, the pool is open for 45-minute sessions through online reservations at porta.recdesk.com
- One way traffic will enter through the front door and exit by the outside gate.
- Changing rooms and showers are closed, so come prepared to swim.
- Benches are available to store personal items while swimming and are sanitized between each use.
- Pool entry is $2. Former fees and passes will resume when the pool is open with no restrictions.
Per CDC recommendations our playgrounds will also remain closed.
Staff is working to clean and sanitize high touch surfaces regularly. Please follow all City regulations and CDC best practices for visiting Parks.

All City Council Committee meetings shall remain scheduled. Meetings will be limited to no more than 10 people per Governor’s Executive Order (unless group size allowances change), meaning no citizens will be allowed in the council chambers. The city will continue to air all council meetings on Chanel 1300 on Spectrum Cable and we will partner with the South Jetty to stream all meetings live on the South Jetty’s Facebook page. Public comments will be written only.
