2020 National Night Out

Plans are currently underway for the 2020 Texas Night Out to be held Tuesday, October 6, 2020. The Port Aransas Police Department is accepting applications of those who are expressing an interest in hosting a block party. Such activities can be block parties, cookouts, visits from local police, parades, flashlight walks and contests.

Texas Night Out, originally National Night, was changed to October for Texas due to the heat and mosquito problem during the original month of August.

National Night Out (NNO) is an annual community building campaign that promotes police community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie make our neighborhoods safer better place to live. Together we are making that happen.

By utilizing the most effective methods in providing quality police services, we will ensure professionalism through education, technology, and personal responsibility. Members of the Police Department will be progressive thinking advocates of public safety and encourage participation from community leaders that empowers stakeholders while establishing goals and accountability for those involved. These professional associations will form a medium where public safety concerns can be anticipated and addressed by initiating and maintaining positive relationships with neighborhoods, schools, businesses, and other members of our community.

ON OCTOBER 6, 2020, WE INVITE NEIGHBORHOODS CITYWIDE TO JOIN US.

Get involved, know your neighbors and do your part to make crime prevention a part of your neighborhood.
