OLD TOWN SQUARE

Peggy WerthNews

We are delighted to announce the ongoing development of Old Town Square, a vibrant new park located adjacent to the Community Center and Port Aransas Museum at 430 N Alister Street. Set to be completed by September 2024, this 3/4 acre park is currently under construction and will soon become a cherished community space. Featuring lush green space, visitor and event parking, and walking paths winding surrounded by native landscaping, Old Town Square is designed to offer tranquility and recreational opportunities amidst the bustling heart of Port Aransas. Highlighting the parks’ appeal is the Mathew’s Family Pavilion, a new focal point capable of hosting community programs such as live music performances and educational lectures. Additionally, two smaller shade structures will provide comfort and shelter, enhancing the park’s usability throughout the year. This project reflects our commitment to enchancing public spaces and fostering community engagement in our coastal town.
